The proposed site includes the construction, operation, maintenance, upgrading and eventual decommissioning of a solar farm located approximately about 19 km from Woolooga and 40 km north-west from Gympie in the QLD Fraser Coast region.

By converting the sun’s energy to electricity through the use of photovoltaic modules – solar panels – we anticipate the farm will generate 120 MWAC photovoltaic electricity, including grid connection to the Ergon 132 kVolt overhead power line that passes through the Solar Farm. Annually, the project will generate 300,000 megawatt hours per year of sustainable, clean energy to power 41,100 average Australian homes.
